Form first, fare by email
One form to reserve a sedan or SUV and book your airport ride to MCI
Here, reserving works in four plain moves. You send the request on this page, the office emails you the fixed rate a local car company sets for that ride, you answer yes, and that company confirms the pickup to you in writing. Until its written confirmation arrives, nothing is held in your name. The same form serves both directions, so use it to book your airport ride to MCI or the ride home after you land.
CE Travel Services is an independently owned booking office in Kansas City. This form goes to the office, which finds a car company and sends you its fixed rate in writing; once you accept, that company drives you, takes your payment and pays the office per booking.
Call +1 (816) 842-4783 Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Central time.
Ready before the first field
A car company can put a fixed rate on a ride only after it knows where, when and how many. Extras go in the note at the bottom of the form: a second stop, a child seat if the company carries one, a service animal riding with you, or a meeting inside at baggage claim with your name. The box for a vehicle with a ramp or lift sits just above it.
Whatever needs an answer comes back in the written fare, as a yes or a no, with any charge on its own line, and you see every line before you agree. For the ride itself, keep these five things within reach as you fill in the reservation request:
- The day of the ride, and whether it runs out to MCI or home from it
- Your flight time, so the company can fix a pickup time around it
- The street address at the Kansas City end
- How many passengers: a sedan seats up to 3, an SUV up to 6
- The flight number if you have it yet, so the company can follow the flight
Replies by email, and how soon
Your first reply is the written fare, sent by email. It names the car company and its fixed rate for the ride, lists any extra on a line of its own and prints that company's cancellation terms. The airport transfer rates to MCI per car let you see the from figure for each pickup place before the email lands. Say yes, and the office passes your reservation to that company, which then sends its own confirmation of the pickup in writing.
A request that arrives while the phone is open (Monday to Thursday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Central time; Saturday and Sunday the form only) gets a written answer within two hours. Anything sent outside those hours is answered by email by 10 a.m. the next morning, weekends included. The form takes requests 24/7, so a late evening request waits for the morning reply. To settle a question by voice, call the airport transfer office in Kansas City during phone hours.
Holiday weeks and spring breaks
There is no fixed rule of days here: send the reservation request as soon as you know the flight. Around Thanksgiving, the weeks of Christmas and New Year and the spring school breaks, a week or two ahead helps the office find a free car.
That advice says nothing about whether a car will be free. A later request is still answered, with a plain word on whether a company has a car at your pickup time. If your plans can shift by a day, ask in the note which available dates nearby still have one.
The from figure for a given place and car is the same in late December as in a quiet August week, and the written fare tells you if the company's rate differs on a holiday date. On a morning of snow or ice the company may ask to move the pickup earlier, and the written fare holds.
Before anything is held
Sending the form starts a reservation request. A car company has to confirm the pickup to you in writing before anything is held in your name.
Sending to pickup, one move at a time
Fill in the request
Pick the pickup place first, then the direction, the day and the car. Add the flight time, address, head count and flight number. The call and text box is optional; left empty, every reply reaches you by email.
Read the fare email
The office asks local car companies for a written fare, then emails it to you. It shows the fixed rate, every extra on its own line and the cancellation terms.
Say yes, or withdraw
Reply yes and the office passes the reservation to that company. Until then you can withdraw at any point and nothing is owed. After it, the company's cancellation terms apply, the ones printed on the written fare you read before your yes.
Watch for the company's note
The car company confirms the pickup in writing, and only then is the ride held in your name. It drives you, takes your payment and hands you the receipt. If your flight moves, tell the office or the company as soon as you know.
